Yes. Cancel anytime from your billing dashboard. Monthly plans stop at the end of the current billing cycle. Annual plans are non-refundable but you keep access until the term ends. No exit fees, no contract lock-in for Starter or Growth.
Your account auto-downgrades to the Starter plan with all data retained. We don't auto-charge. You can upgrade, downgrade to Free, or cancel — all from the billing dashboard.

All Indian customer invoices include GST at the prevailing rate. Provide your GSTIN at signup or in billing settings for tax invoice issuance. We file our GST returns on time, so your invoice can be claimed as input tax credit.
Yes. Upgrades are pro-rated immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle so you don't lose data unexpectedly. If a downgrade would remove access to features you're using, we'll show you what changes before you confirm.
AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1) primary, AWS Hyderabad (ap-south-2) for disaster recovery. All customer data stays in India. No cross-border data transfer. See Security for full data residency details.
Encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, in transit with TLS 1.3. Aadhaar numbers are stored as last-4 in the UI; full numbers only used for statutory submissions to UIDAI-authorized endpoints. Access is logged. PAN is stored in full but encrypted column-level.
Yes. We're compliant with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Customer is Data Fiduciary for employee data; we are Data Processor under the DPA. 72-hour breach notification, defined data principal rights process. See our DPA.

Yes — SAML 2.0 and OIDC on the Enterprise plan. Supported IdPs: Okta, OneLogin, Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra. Native auth on all other plans, with MFA available on all plans.

Yes, all Indian states with PT — Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and others. Each state's slabs and frequencies are maintained by us.
For most SMBs on Starter/Growth: self-serve setup in 2-3 hours, fully running within a week. For Enterprise with custom integrations and SSO, plan for 2-4 weeks with a dedicated CSM. We'll send a detailed implementation plan during the demo.
Yes. Many customers run both for one or two payroll cycles before fully switching. We help with the migration — historical data import, mapping employees, validating opening balances for PF, ESI, leave accruals.
Yes. We support imports from Excel/CSV (any HRMS), Zoho People, Keka, GreytHR, and BambooHR. Bring your data; we'll map it to hrPLANR's schema in onboarding. Enterprise customers get a dedicated migration engineer.
You can export everything via API or full data export from your tenant settings. 30-day grace period after subscription end for export. After that, data is deleted from active systems within 90 days; backup copies purged within 35 more days. Statutory retention (Income Tax, etc.) applies as separately required.

Most workflows have configurable settings — leave types, approval chains, payroll components, statutory deduction overrides. Full custom workflows (rules engine + approvals) are an Enterprise feature. Available Q3 2026; in beta with select customers now.

A natural-language interface (web + Slack + Teams) to query your HR data. "How many people are on PL next week?" "What's our attrition rate this quarter?" — answered instantly with the source linked so the requester can verify. Permission-aware: managers see manager-scoped answers, employees see only their own data.
No. We use zero-retention contracts with our AI inference providers. There's an explicit no-training clause in our DPA. Your data is used only to provide the AI features you've enabled — not to improve models that benefit other customers.
For Enterprise customers, AI inference runs on AWS Bedrock in Mumbai (ap-south-1) — in-region, zero-retention. For other plans, AI inference uses standard regional cloud LLM endpoints; the specific provider and region are listed in the DPA sub-processor schedule.
Yes. AI features are opt-in at the feature level. Tenant administrators can turn off any AI feature at any time from settings. The platform's core HR/payroll functions work fully without AI enabled.
Email support on all plans, in-app chat on Growth+, dedicated CSM on Enterprise. Free plan customers get email support with 1-business-day response. Growth customers get same-day chat response during business hours. Enterprise gets 24/7 for critical issues.
